Collection

Collection of flower pots inspired by the seven deadly sins, realized by glazed ceramic in a limited edition.Every piece is hand painted and shaped without using a lathe. The 7 deadly sins are a list of inclinations deep, moral and behavioral, of human soul. This list of vices (Latin Vitium = lack, defect, but also habit deflected, twisted, out of the straight path) would destroy the human soul, in opposition to virtues, which instead promote their growth.They are considered "capital" as more serious, major, about the depths of human nature. Improperly called "sins" in the Christian and philosophical moral, vices would be already because of sin, that it is instead its relative effect.In Catholic moral doctrine, the capital vices are the main habits not ordered to the Supreme Good, God, from whom all sins originate.

PRIDE : Rooted conviction of his own superiority, real or perceived, that is translated to an attitude of aloofness or ostentatious contempt for others, and disregard of rules, laws, respect for others;

LUST : uncontrolled sensuality, the irrepressible desire for sexual pleasure itself;

WRATH : the desire to avenge with violence a suffered offense;

GREED : greed, avarice, the unwillingness to spend and donate what you own;  

GLUTTONY : abandonment and exaggeration in the pleasures of the table

SLOTH: melancholic numbness, inertia in life and do good works, indolence, apathy.

ENVY : sorrow for the good of others perceived as just bad;  

As vices deform the soul bringing it to sin, the vessels of this collection are deformed by taking features and colors of corresponding sin, turning to ancestral conteiners for human sins.
